The Role of Negative Posttraumatic Cognitions in the Treatment of Patients with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

Abstract Background Negative post-traumatic cognitions (PTC) are a risk factor for the development and maintenance of stress disorder (PTSD). PTC have further been linked to symptoms depression, anxiety, emotion regulation (ER). We investigated role in treatment PTSD patients. Method analyzed data from 339 inpatients (279 female) who received inpatient trauma-focused eight twelve weeks.
